Hey there, I'm trying to overclock my i7 7700k for the first time and managed to reach 5200ghz. I want to see if I can go even higher, but I'm not sure how to adjust the voltage safely. Do any of you have advice or instructions on changing it? I have the following specs: CPU, Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo, motherboard Asus Prime Z270-A, 8GB DDR4 RAM, Gigabyte GeforcE GTX 1060 GPU, and a power supply of Rosewill 650. Also, I was wondering what the maximum voltage setting would be for my machine.

Don't forget your temperature or voltage readings. Keep the CPU below 1.4 volts, as that's the recommended limit. Use stress testing tools like prime95v2.26(small fft). The temperature before throttling reaches 100°C, but for regular use it's safer to stay under 70°C. Going above 75°C is too risky and can damage the CPU, especially if you keep it over 80°C often. The i7 7700k gets very hot, and the Hyper 212 evo isn't powerful enough. You'll need a strong cooler for this setup.

You didn't provide your temperature or voltage readings. It's advisable to keep the voltage below 1.4 volts for this CPU, as exceeding that is not recommended. The safe upper limit is around 1.4 volts. For regular use, staying under 70°C is best; above 75°C can cause damage and performance loss. Running it continuously above 80°C is especially risky. The i7 7700k tends to overheat, so a strong cooler is necessary. A suitable option is available here: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a...6835709011. Even this may not suffice for the required 5.2GHz stability without a custom cooling solution, which can be costly and complex.
