Overview and minor critiques of Windows 10
I managed to switch to Windows 10 and am pleased with the change. It’s not a complete overhaul, but it’s definitely an improvement. My games are running smoothly, though performance isn’t dramatically better—especially for users of Linus’ video. The main enhancements lie in the updated interface and overall usability. The new layout feels refined, making it easy to locate apps. The refreshed start button offers convenient access to various Windows tools, such as weather updates or email clients.
Immediately after the upgrade, I noticed a noticeable boost in speed. All interactions now feel smoother, with animations that open and close programs quickly and gracefully. Colors are more accessible, and customizing the system’s appearance has become straightforward. Most applications now feature a modern design that complements the OS better.
Cortana’s presence is still limited in Australia, so I’ll have to wait for further updates. Overall, Windows 10 meets expectations, blending familiar features from Windows 7 with a more polished look and feel. While it doesn’t drastically alter my workflow, it does address some shortcomings of the previous version and introduces refreshing new elements.
Some minor issues: the search function is frustratingly ineffective, and I still encounter odd graphical glitches during normal browsing (like unexpected tabs appearing when switching). These seem like temporary bugs. Still, I’ll keep an eye on things as I explore more.
The improvement isn't significant. I experienced a strong boost, but it depends on the hardware. You might find these two adjustments helpful: and http://www.howtogeek.com/222831/how-to-g...-of-white/
There, I adjusted my thoughts, "doesn't offer much improvement in games."
I don’t have time for anything else with W10 except playing the Microsoft jigsaw puzzle, solitaire, bingo & Sudoku. A simple way to track my gaming stats.
