Refresh the thermal paste on the CPU, though it's hard to say exactly what case or fans are in that setup

Temperature reading is elevated or the original paste is over a decade old. Additional details would be useful, and images from inside the case would assist.

That machine is still working. I own a Q6600 from 2008. It’s been running for about 11 years now. It did get quite warm sometimes.

Sure, it's an older CPU, but this problem has been fixed using a thermal paste.
