Hi everyone, I'm trying to upgrade my GIGABYTE x570 aorus elite with an AMD Ryzen 5600x and Enermax Aquafusion 360 water cooler to W11. After flashing the latest BIOS, the CPU temperatures kept climbing to 100°C and the system would shut down. I've tried several fixes: resetting the BIOS, changing a random BIOS, and swapping the fan cables directly into MBO, but nothing worked. Thanks for your help!

Verify the RPM reading on the BIOS to confirm the pump is operating. Determine whether it connects to the pump header or another header.

Connect the pump straight to the power supply from the PSU, not the board, to confirm it’s operating. This gives you some time to determine whether the updated BIOS can manage the pump effectively.

You asked about changing headers and noticed the pump functions only with the cpu_opt header. It’s unclear why this change would affect it, especially since a BIOS update didn’t seem to impact it. Consider testing other connections to identify the issue.

The 5600X is truly the most impressive CPU I've ever had. It's all about the cooling—just using a heatsink works well, though it doesn't rely on water. The 5900X, however, can be quite tricky. Do you have an old Molex to PC fan header cable in your possession? That should provide the 12V you're looking for.
