The CPU began throttling at around 90°C during gaming or downloads. After reposting, the system cooled down nicely with fans running and the hotspot above the keyboard no longer burning. It’s still overheating though, and I’m not sure what caused it since everything else seems normal. Any solutions? GE75 Raider 9se gaming laptop.

You might consider slightly reducing the volume a bit to lower the temperatures.

It shows reduced heat after a repaste, suggesting the adhesion failed. The area above the keyboard that previously burned might be relevant. Are you referring to a laptop? Which one? You’re missing key details for further help.

The meal made things feel cooler, though the CPU temperatures stayed the same. I mentioned it’s a GE75 raider 9SE gaming laptop, but maybe I shouldn’t have placed it at the end of the post.

It didn’t always feel cooler. When components other than the CPU were warm, heat would escape from the CPU. If the CPU remains warm but surroundings stay cool, it might mean heat transfer decreased rather than increased, causing the CPU to throttle further.
