Overheating CPU
Overheating CPU
Hello
I’m trying to figure out what might be causing problems with my PC. The CPU has been getting quite hot for months, but it never actually shuts down—it usually stays around 95-97°C during gaming, and everything else stays below 50°C. Recently, things have gotten worse. It began turning itself off because it thought it was too hot, though it never goes beyond its previous temperature limits. It also freezes and I’ve experienced two BSoD errors. While I’m typing, I ran a stress test with Prime95 and everything stayed at 100°C for more than 30 minutes without any problems.
I changed the thermal paste and cleaned the radiator on my water cooler, which lowered the temperature a bit, but the heating issue remains. I feel a vibration in the pipes, so I’m wondering if the pump is still working, though honestly I’m not sure.

I recommend swapping your 120mm AIO cooler for an air cooler. 120mm isn't sufficient for a radiator, and you'll be better served by models such as the Thermalright Peerless Assassin, Phantom Spirit, or Deepcool AK500. It's important to verify the clearance in your case before purchasing a new cooler to guarantee compatibility.
