I've encountered a performance problem in Photoshop where it becomes extremely slow when opening two 30mb files simultaneously. Even opening just one file can take over a minute on an M.2 SSD. However, today I decided to investigate CPU temperatures. It's been idling between 43-49°C with occasional spikes into the high 50s. Could anyone confirm if these idle temperatures are within acceptable limits? A cold boot seems to bring the CPU temps down to about 68°C for a short period before returning to 43-49°C. Only one layer is used. Regardless of how many layers are in a file, Photoshop always opens it in five seconds or less once finished. It's strange how slow it's become.

9700K uses a soldered IHS plate which helps with higher temperatures. 8700K is known for its lid re-paste issue and isn't soldered—its threads are 6c12t, not 8 cores. It cools differently.
