Overconfident L4 tips and insights
I'm interested in reviewing my overclock profile. This is my first time overclocking and I don't want to strain my new setup too much. The details are:
Asus ROG Strix z270H
I7-7700K at 4.7ghz
8 GB 2400 DDR4 RAM
Nvidia GTX 1070 TI FE with +200 for Core and Memory
Seasonice FocusPlus Gold 850
Samsung EVO 850 250GB SSD
WD Black 1TB HDD
Running Times I've never seen CPU temps above 60°C or GPU above 72°C without issues, no crashes or throttling. Still unsure if my current settings are sufficient or if I'm pushing too hard. Looking for advice—thanks for the feedback, as long as it's about my approach, not the hardware.
4.7GHz works well, you might try 4.9GHz at 1.32V. Keep the voltage under 1.4V, that's the limit.
What cooling solution do you have?
Your GPU is running at 72°C, which is fine. You could push it a bit more, but I wouldn't exceed 85°C.
Good luck!
The performance at 4.7GHz is acceptable, you might try 4.9GHz with 1.32V. Keep the voltage under 1.4V as that should be the maximum.

Right now I'm using a Hyper 212 Evo on my CPU with 3 140mm fans and custom fan curves via a controller. My GPU is an Nvidia card, so I'm unsure about the available overclocking room without adjusting voltage. I've only increased the BCLK on my CPU and haven't changed core clocks. I'm not very experienced yet and didn't want to go too deep without guidance. I've never seen my CPU temperatures exceed 80°C or GPU temps above 75°C, and I ended up boosting my CPU to 4.9—this is it safe?
If the CPU has been stress tested without crashing and temperatures stay below 90°C, everything looks fine.
