Overclocking with a 500W PSU
Hey folks, I've never OC'd before, but I'd like to squeeze that free juice out of my processor. I would not, however, like to take too much unnecessary risk, so I was wondering if I should hold off on OCing until I can afford a better PSU. Here are my specs:

Sure, 500w should work well for your setup and offers a solid boost. However, your PSU isn't very dependable, which is more critical than its power rating. To be safe, I wouldn't push the overclocking until you upgrade to a more stable PSU.
I would also recommend using an aftermarket cooler since the built-in ones on those chips aren't great. When overclocking, managing heat becomes your main concern.
