I recently upgraded my computer and adjusted my CPU settings along with enabling the XMP profile to achieve 3200 MHz RAM. After stress testing, everything seemed fine until I noticed it stopped working after about three to four days. When I tried turning it back on, it would get stuck in a boot loop. After some attempts, it started again once voltages and clock speeds were reset. My CPU is a Ryzen 3600, which I overclocked to 4.2 GHz at 1.325V, and the RAM is set to 3200 MHz at 1.35V. I’m trying to figure out what’s happening.
Are you using the newest BIOS for your motherboard? How did you confirm it was working properly? RAM overclocking can be very problematic and difficult to troubleshoot if something is off. The most effective method to begin diagnosing is to revert to the original settings and observe if the problem disappears, continuing until it does, then you can focus on pinpointing the cause. But first, how did you ensure its stability?
For the CPU I ran Cinebench and CPU Burner while gaming and streaming for a few hours without any problems, and for RAM I didn’t make any changes because I used the same RAM in my previous build with the same XMP profile active and no issues. I’m not using the newest MMO BIOS.
