In the latest video, Linus made a side-by-side comparison of the D15 and a 240MM liquid cooler. He noticed no significant difference in temperature whether using the stock model or overclocking. I don’t have any worries about the cooler.
Based on my observations, anything above 1.25 load volts becomes extremely challenging to manage with any component under full stress. A 240mm size usually doesn’t offer an advantage over a D15. A large radiator helps a bit, but it mainly slows things down—so you’ll want to finish your task before it gets too hot. Concerning your power supply, you’re unlikely to encounter a situation where both CPU and GPU face heavy synthetic loads simultaneously, so performance should remain stable.
Regarding your original comment, I aimed to adjust the expectations around thermal efficiency.
