I own a Gigabyte Z370 Ultra Gaming and can confirm it performs exceptionally. It handles my i5-8600K smoothly from out of the box at 1.285v, supports XMP profiles without issues, and reached 3000MHz successfully on the first try. The RGB lighting also looks great.

Can you assist me with overclocking this 8600k model on the Gigabyte Z370 Giga Auros Ultra Gaming? I’m relatively new to this process. I’m not an expert, but I’ve just begun exploring. With a little guidance and experimentation, I’ve achieved a stable 24/7 4.8GHz overclock at a moderate vcore. At 4.9 and 5GHz, I need to push up to 1.378vcore—depending on your goals. First, ensure XMP is enabled for profiling. If you have high-speed memory (3000+MHz), switch the multiplier to 47 as a starting point and let everything auto-adjust. It should work. Monitor temperatures closely.

Once you reach your target, adjust the vcore by changing the CPU core voltage line calibration to Turbo mode and tweak the vcore value using the +/- keys until stability is confirmed. You can also opt for a fixed vcore for simplicity, but it will limit flexibility. In advanced voltage settings, you can enter offset mode (DVID) and fine-tune the vcore with small increments, starting around 0.005. This allows dynamic adjustment based on performance needs.

Keep in mind that achieving the best balance often requires trial and error. Some users reach stable speeds around 1.35 or even 1.4 for 5GHz, while others manage it with a lower vcore of about 1.3. It really depends on your system’s requirements. Good luck!

I should note that I'm using the F6 Bios version, which is the newest release and I've found it to be solid and reliable.

My Bios settings for 4.8GHZ overclock on the Ultra Gaming:
Everything else in auto other than:
CPU multiplyer to 48
LLC to High
Vcore to 1.265v - I am going to test at 1.260 and will update...you might need more
I have disabled Intel Speed shift and C1, c3, c6/7, c8 and c10...Though you dont need to and can go for an ofset vcore..
This is a great place to start for our bios: https://overclocking.guide/gigabyte-z370...ffee-lake/

Additional bios information reduced to 1.260v with stable performance at 4.8GHz, plans to lower further and improve more.
