Hey everyone, I recently assembled my first PC and noticed my CPU is running overclocked. I haven’t adjusted any BIOS settings and want to keep it from operating at maximum capacity all the time. I’m using a Ryzen 7 3700X on an MSI b450 tomahawk Max. The thermal readings are within safe ranges around mid-50s to low-60s during idle, but I’m concerned about performance limits under heavy tasks like gaming. I’m worried that keeping it at 4.39 GHz constantly might cause damage. Any advice on capping the clock speed would be appreciated. Thanks, Myles

The base clock runs at just 3.6, which means it's perfectly fine and safe to operate without any concerns about overclocking.
It's functioning correctly according to AMD's design. Starting point is 3.6 and boost reaches 4.4.
