Overclocking the 10900X?
I've been using the 10900X this summer and I'm thinking about boosting its speed. My motherboard handles it well, and the water cooling from the Corsair H115i Pro is effective. The last time I pushed a CPU was the C2D E6600, which reached 3.1GHz on stock cooling. Right now, with your age and setup, do you still connect the CPU through the BIOS or are you using Intel's Extreme Tuning Utility?
The BIOS offers the genuine benefit of making Intel HEDT chips enjoyable to overclock, which is why I strongly suggest it.
I haven't heard about the E6600 recently! I recall purchasing a Q6600 around 2006-2007 for a system that could run Crysis. I didn't realize I'd still have four cores after nearly 14 years!
