Hello, I'm still getting the hang of overclocking. My 10600K is currently at +3 turbo ratio, which pushes cores up to 1, 2-51, 3, 4-50, 5, 6-49, running at 1.375V. I'm looking for ways to boost performance further—aiming for around 4.9GHz max but haven't run any CPU-specific benchmarks yet. Any suggestions?

Your timepieces are quite solid, but I’d probably begin stress-testing the CPU and check how much voltage you can safely reduce. At 1.375V it’s a bit high; dropping it to around 1.3V would be ideal.

With lower voltage and cooler temperatures, could the multiplier increase further to reach 5GHz? Also, I’ll capture photos once I’m done, since I’m unsure if everything was set up perfectly.

I'm using that board, it works well. My CPU, cache, and RAM are all optimized on this system. On my 10th Gen 10Core, I can run at 1.28v 5.0Ghz allcore, 1.33v 5.1 allcore, and 1.375v 5.2Ghz allcore. However, AVX performance drops significantly at higher voltages for long periods, so I stick with 5.1Ghz allcore for about two years now. If your cooling can handle it, 1.28-1.32v should work depending on your CPU. I set it to avoid declocking during idle, but it uses minimal power when not in use. Gaming temperatures stay manageable, and AVX support works smoothly in Adobe Premiere. For daily Blender rendering, I’d prefer 5Ghz voltage for extended AVX sessions. If I didn’t have Australian Summer issues, 5.2Ghz would be suitable.

It's quite likely. As the core temperature rises, its performance drops, which explains both GPU Boost and the use of cryogenic fluids for pushing overclock limits.

The temperature is rising, so keeping it stable is important. Running at 5.1 at 1.3V works, but overheating is a concern. Consider sticking to 5.1 at 1.28V for now, and monitor temperatures closely. If the problem persists, adjusting voltage slightly higher might help without risking damage.

Updated, reached 5.1GHz at 1.33, performance steady and no crashes—just overheating issues. Running hot, hitting 100°C, minor throttling during Cinebench R23. Still usable for daily tasks, but I’m cautious about the heat and plan to test 1.28V @ 5.0GHz next.

Just know it won't make a big difference between 5.0 and 5.1—it's only a 2%. Your IPC will be comparable, and the majority of your games should still depend on your GPU performance.

Running at 5.0GHz brought great results, the performance boost was noticeable. The GPU was pushed a bit too far, but it didn’t yield much additional gain unfortunately.
