POB offers a more stable performance compared to manual overclocking for this CPU. Your experience of crashes at 4.8GHz with 1.33V suggests manual tuning might be too aggressive, making POB a safer choice.

PBO, you should adjust your EDC settings to get optimal performance for your motherboard and chip. You’ll also need to configure a curve optimizer offset. This applies to B550 or x570 boards. For my setup with the 5900x, using Curve Optimizer with Negative all core 30 Core boost +100 MHz PPT 200 TDC 200 EDC 135 yields around 4.625 GHz during Cinebench and scores above 9000.
