Overclocking Ryzen 5 5600X alongside Corsair Dominator Platinum
Overclocking Ryzen 5 5600X alongside Corsair Dominator Platinum
Hey everyone, yesterday I installed my new Ryzen 5 5600x and have already done some overclocking. The settings I used were: core ratio 45x, voltage offset +0.08, LLC level regular, global C-state enabled, motherboard ASUS ROG STRIX B450-E GAMING. After several tests and some gaming use, everything seems stable. Is my overclock stable? Should I adjust any other parameters? I previously had a Ryzen 7 2700x, but now with this CPU I noticed a new setting in the BIOS—FCLK. Should I keep it in auto mode? Also, I wanted to try overclocking my RAM before being limited to 2800MHz by the memory controller on my Ryzen 2700x. My RAM is from Corsair: https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categ...00...200C16-ROG. What speed could I reach and what timings would that be? What tool should I use to check RAM stability? In the past I used 2800MHz with timings 14-13-13-13-21-43 at 1.35V, and everything worked fine. Testing it now with prime95 (I don’t remember the exact settings) was successful. Thanks in advance!
Well, yes. No neglecting single thread!
1)Just 'stress system memory'. That's it.
There should also be a memory benchmark.
2)The longer, the better.
Overnight is a good start.
To see how your results stack up, it's helpful to compare them with the default settings. This way, you can understand the impact of the current configuration versus the standard one.
This comparison discusses testing RAM performance and mentions tools similar to Cinebench that provide scores for evaluating memory settings.
The situation involves restricted access periods and paywalls for certain functionalities.
Your standard configuration performed better with multiple threads compared to your adjusted settings. What about the single-thread version?
No, the default score (3.7ghz) is 10763, overclocked (4.5Ghz) is 11529. You didn't attempt single-thread testing, should you proceed with that? For stressing memory on Aida64, which settings should be applied? Starting the test by leaving "stress system memory enabled" and running the stress test. How long should the test continue?
