I own that chip. It's been a while since I pushed it to its limits. From what I recall, I ran it at 1.25V and 4.1GHz, but trying to boost it further led to a huge rise in heat.

These samples are top quality chips. The optimal balance of temperature and clock speed I found is 1.31 volts at 4.1 gigahertz (about 1.28 volts under full load). I haven't attempted 4.2 because the performance gain isn't significant enough. It would be better to adjust your RAM settings instead. Each RAM model has its own characteristics. It's already satisfactory if it operates at the speed it claims (3000MHz via XMP/DOCP). I also received the Vengeance 3000MHz kit. My RAM is running at 3133MHz with 1.37 volts and CL14. I could try 3200MHz, but that would require raising the voltage and loosening timings, which I prefer to avoid.

There’s no formal announcement, but some observations suggest 1.35V is relatively secure for continuous use.
