Overclocking Ryzen 5 2600 at 4GHz – what to consider?
Hello, I successfully boosted my Ryzen 5 2600 to 4GHz at 1.275v. I'm curious if this speed can be maintained continuously without harming the processor. With a Noctua 12S cooler, idle temperatures hover near 31°C, and they spike to about 65°C during Cinebench. When not in use, the CPU drops to around 1,397MHz thanks to the balanced power profile (not the Ryzen Balanced setting). Thanks for noting, Dom—I've run extended stress tests like Prime95 and Cinebench over a week.
If everything holds steady, 1.275 won’t cause any issues. The temperatures look fairly good.
