Overclocking Ryzen 5 1600 AF
After upgrading my motherboard, I decided to boost its performance beyond what I thought possible. I found out most users can reach about 3.8 to 4 GHz with stable voltages around 1.3 to 1.4V. My goal is to push it past 4 GHz for better stability and frame rates. I’ve equipped myself with an MSI B450-A Pro Max and an Arctic Freezer 34 eSports, along with a Corsair CX500M. I’m using the Kolink Stronghold, which has three front fans and two rear ones to help with cooling. I know it won’t be easy, and I might not succeed, but I’m determined to meet this challenge.
They'll share them later when I find the sweet spot. Compared to what others have achieved, I'm confident I'll reach at least 3.9GHz. Could be off, though—I might have the poorest silicon available. Who knows? I'll try once I get home. Do you have any good tips for benchmarking and checking stability? Besides Aida64 or similar names? Also, does a BIOS update on the motherboard improve stability?
I’m not sure if the latest BIOS update will make a difference. I don’t have your board, which might affect the outcome. I also forgot about your GPU, which could change things.
