so... let's start the conversation! xD
which build should I choose?
1st build – GA-990FX-GAMING with an RX 480 8GB, H105 water cooler
or
2nd build – GA-990FX-GAMING with a GTX 1070 8GB, Hyper 212x air cooler, plan to upgrade to H105 later
or
3rd build – GA-970A-UD3P with GTX 1070 8GB, H105 water cooler
reminder: all builds will use an FX 8350
questions:
how much overclocking can I achieve in the 2nd build before upgrading to H105?
would the FX 8350 overclocked with the Hyper 212x bottleneck affect the GTX 1070?
do you think it's better to buy the GTX 1070 instead of the RX 480?
which option offers better long-term driver support?

You can find an H110 Motherboard paired with an i5-6500 at a lower cost and still achieve impressive results. For those who enjoy overclocking, an i5-6600k along with a Z170 motherboard offers similar performance without much extra expense.

Rogue Leader:
Nothing matches the description. You can purchase an H110 motherboard with an i5-6500 and achieve impressive results without spending much.
For those who enjoy overclocking, you can opt for an i5-6600k paired with a Z170 motherboard and still surpass expectations, all within a similar budget.
The main issue is that I already own four 8GB RAM modules (Ripjaws X 1600mhz) and the Z170 uses DDR4, whereas I’m considering other options for better overclocking potential.
If you have alternative motherboards that could improve performance, I’d appreciate your advice.
It’s also challenging to find an affordable case for the H110, especially for the NZXT Phantom 410 model with a push configuration.

Nichts davon passt.
Jede H110-Motherboard passt hier gut. Eine größere (B150 oder Z170) wäre ebenfalls in Ordnung. Alle entsprechen den ATX- oder Micro ATX-Standards, die dieser Gehäuse unterstützt.

it seems there was a mix-up. I was supposed to discuss the H110 motherboards, but I misunderstood your request about the H110 water cooler. Let me know if you'd like details on that instead. Thank you for clarifying.

Upgrading to an additional $8 provides new RAM and a more efficient configuration. Selling your previous RAM also reduces the overall cost. The FX-8350 isn’t worth investing in right now.

Thanks for the example
just a quick follow-up—do you have a preference between the ASUS Z170 and the ASRock Fataly Z170? The latter is more affordable, which is why I'm wondering

Caio Khauam thanks for the example and asks which one to choose between the ASUS Z170 and the ASRock Fatalty Z170. He mentions the ASRock is more affordable, which is why he's considering it, while still appreciating the ASUS brand. He notes that nowadays no one makes a truly bad motherboard.

appreciates the example. Just one more inquiry – is there a difference between the ASUS Z170 and the ASRock Fatalty Z170? The ASRock is more affordable, which is why I'm asking. I tend to favor ASUS, though the ASRock is still decent. Right now, it seems no one builds a truly bad motherboard. I’m likely getting the ASRock Fatalty Z170 with an i5-6600K. Would it be acceptable to use a Hyper 212X without overclocking until I upgrade to the H105?

just one more question – which one should I choose, the ASUS Z170 or the ASRock Fatalty Z170? The ASRock is more affordable, that’s why I’m asking.
I tend to prefer ASUS personally. The ASRock is still decent.
Right now, no one really makes a "bad" motherboard.
I’m likely getting the ASRock Fatalty Z170 with an i5-6600k. Would it be okay to use a Hyper 212x without overclocking until I upgrade to the H105?
Personally, I’d go for the Cryorig H7, but the 212x is also a great cooler if you want to overclock as well.
