Overclocking processor 4790k
these overclocks are meant for benchmarking and gaming, right? I'm running at 4.4ghz with a stable 1.16250v, about 24/7. I've managed to hit 1.332v at 4.8ghz for around two hours. Tried 1.308v and 1.320v too, but they stopped working after an hour in Prime95. I can also reach 5.0ghz at 1.45v, though that's mainly for quick benchmarks.
These overclocks are intended for bench testing and gaming purposes... 4.4ghz at 1.16250v is my 24/7 clock. I managed to reach 1.332v for a stable 4.8ghz for about two hours, okay? Also tried 1.308v and 1.320v but after an hour or so they stopped working in Prime95. I can also hit 5.0ghz at 1.45v, though that’s mainly for quick benchmarks. It looks like you’ve really got a good chance of getting a solid result! 😄 I guess you’re really lucky with the silicon here!!! I’m struggling to get a stable overclock above 4.8. That’s the max my chip can handle. Pushing more than that will likely cause it to crash at around 4.9. It will boot up, but a BSOD is expected within about an hour. I generally prefer rock-solid overclocks and low temperatures. A 4.7 is stable for me—definitely solid. I can use 4.8, though it gets warm during stability tests and still works for gaming...
