Coolermaster 700w silent pro (really around ten years)
Don't worry about overclocking on an old PSU, especially one from Coolermaster.
Asus prime b450m a-ii
The BIOS version on the motherboard is 4202. The most recent at the time was 4622. Ensure you have the latest BIOS before attempting overclocking (after you've installed a stable 650W~750W PSU).
16 GB DDR4 Corsair vengeance
Do you have a link to this RAM kit? If your setup uses DDR4-3200MHz, it's fine. For lower speeds, you'll miss out on performance gains. With a powerful VRM B550 chipset board, you could upgrade to a dual channel DDR4-3600MHz setup to unlock more from your Ryzen 5000 series.
If you received a new PSU, what overclocking adjustments should you consider? Please share the link to the RAM here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07RM39V5...asin_title. I believe it's set at 3200 MHz.
You might consider enabling PBO on the CPU, though that seems limited in scope. Adjusting the power ceiling, GPU speed, and memory frequency could help, but proceed cautiously. Always keep an eye on temperatures—if you notice throttling or declining performance, it’s time to reduce the settings. In short, expect around 5% improvement with a noticeable boost in power, but the available margin is shrinking.
