I am planning to construct a computer and wish to increase the processor speed. It is an AMD A-Series APU with 4 cores operating at 2.1 GHz. I aim to raise it to 3GHz but I lack clarity on the process. Can you assist me?

It is strongly recommended to investigate your CPU and consider overclocking, though this can pose risks to other parts of your setup. A significant increase in speed might necessitate an aftermarket cooling solution.

It is recommended to investigate your CPU and consider overclocking, as it could pose risks to other parts of the system. This involves a significant increase in speed, possibly needing an aftermarket cooler. Would this mean you need a larger one? I only have a 1 fan cooler.

Wow, Tyler Paul_1:
It’s a good idea to look into your CPU and consider overclocking, though it could be risky for other parts of your system. A big jump in speed might need an aftermarket cooler. Does this imply I should upgrade to a larger cooler? I only have one with just one fan. I believe he’s suggesting you research overclocking in general, and depending on your current cooler, you might not need another one.

Turns out my APU is at 30.00 +86.70°C, while the cooler says "For FM1" but doesn’t cover the whole processor.

Updated reading: The temperature was recorded at 30.00 degrees C and 86.70 degrees F. I'm working on understanding this new UEFI BIOS. Additionally, the frequency needed adjustment from 100 to 120.

I'm trying to act like a fool, but boosting the system caused my S.M.A.R.T. device to fail.
