Hey everyone,

Apologies in advance, I realize you're likely asked this question many times, but after spending two hours searching online, I haven't found a helpful thread yet...

I'm trying to raise my memory clock speed from 1066mhz to 1333mhz. (By the way, this is just a computer I'm using for overclocking and BIOS tweaking—raising RAM speed usually doesn't give much gain.)

Right now, I'm set with:
- System memory multiplier (SPD): auto
- Memory frequency: 1333 - 1066
- DRAM timing: auto
- Timing control: 9 9 9 24
- RAM voltage: 1.5
- CPU Z: my ratio is 5:8 (maybe helpful)

I can adjust these settings, and when I change the memory multiplier to 4.0 instead of 3.2, it reaches 1333mhz. But then the PC won't boot properly, so it restarts automatically to previous settings and then works again.

I've checked the motherboard info:
- Fsb1333
- DDR3 1066
It seems the RAM might not be able to reach 1333mhz due to the motherboard?

My PC specs:
- Gigabyte G41MT ES2H
- Intel Core 2 Quad Q9650
- 2xKingston KVR1333D3N4G4
- Radeon HD 7850

Appreciate any advice or resources that could help. Thanks a lot, and let me know if this is too much trouble!

The motherboard can handle up to 1066. Even without the RAM, it will downclock automatically. You might need to adjust the clock speeds and voltages yourself. Consider using 1333 with a multiplier of 4, setting the timings to 9, 9, 9, and 24, and manually applying a voltage of 1.5.
