Hi, I'm trying to clock the Intel E2140 faster using a Lancaster8 motherboard. The CPU is running at 1.6 GHz, but I want it to reach at least 2.4 GHz. I checked the BIOS and most of them don’t work well, so I’m looking for any software that could help me overclock it slightly. I know this is risky, but I’d appreciate any advice you have.

Not feasible and not worthwhile unless you require a new soft boiled egg maker.
Looking for a quicker computer?
Check out this Amazon link: http://www.amazon.com/Intel-NUC5PGYH-Pen...windows+10
This model offers roughly ten times the speed during regular use.

Not feasible, and even less so unless you require a new soft boiled egg maker.
Looking for a quicker computer?
Check out this option on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Intel-NUC5PGYH-Pen...windows+10
This model is roughly ten times faster under regular conditions.
Is that the main reason it’s not possible?

really? is it the mb that makes it not possible?
The motherboard doesn't allow overclocking and the CPU also can't. Both were pretty low-end when they first came out, nothing's changed since.
Why bother overclocking though? It's just wasting time with useless performance.

Really? Is it the motherboard that makes it impossible?
The motherboard doesn't allow overclocking and the CPU isn't compatible either. Both were quite basic when they first came out, nothing has changed much.
Still, why waste time overclocking? It's just wasting effort on useless stuff.
It was mainly to have something to hold for a month until I buy my parts for the next PC. I also have another machine with an AMD dual-core CPU; I don't remember the model but I'm sure it can handle M2N68 and ASUS MB. It's still old, but I think it could play some League for now.
