I picked up a used Asus Rog gl702zc with Rx580 4GB that I've been using for Insurgency sandstorm. The GPU had its BIOS core locked at 1077, and I found modded BIOS files to flash using ATI/AMD WinFlash. Currently, I'm clocking around 1288 cores, maintaining low/medium settings with VSYNC consistently above 60 FPS. I also tested it at 1480 cores, which was stable but caused a drop to about 40 FPS. I'm trying to push the card to its limits. I'm curious if this might be related to voltage or power limit settings, not thermal issues since I've increased fan speeds and it stays below 70°C.

Are you applying AMD Settings for your tweaks?
I usually assist users with their Polaris DESKTOP GPU settings, but it seems similar applies on mobile. I'd like to know more:
I created a discussion about manual voltage adjustments during the earlier 2019 WattMan version. You can find the same options in 20.2.2 by turning on "Manual" control in Performance Settings and "advanced control."

You might be exceeding the power constraints and not actually reaching 1480MHz. This issue is more common in laptops. Are you simply leaving all settings on Auto and increasing the frequency manually? If so, adjusting the "power limit %" could help you achieve the desired frequencies.

All components except the main timekeeping unit remain set to standard values
Consider raising the power allowance by 20% if needed

Get a tool (I like GPUz) to track your GPU's statistics and see the real frequency.

I received gpuz and cpuz, managed to stabilize this system well at 1450 cores (1480 crashed PC) and 2150 memory with over 50% power limit. I ran some user benchmarks and noticed it performed better than the person below me who was using an MSI RX 580 8GB desktop version. I'm planning to monitor temperatures at 55% fan speed, which caused the GPU to hit 75°C. Also, my R7 1700 CPU ran at 3.6 and turbo 4.2GHz, staying cooler than the GPU.

The GPU voltage at 1450MHz is typically specified in the product documentation or manufacturer guidelines. Please refer to the official source for accurate details.

Displaying gpuz max voltage as 1.38. Experienced issues with 1475 causing artifacts. Suggested optimal settings are core @1350, memory @2250, core voltage -93, and power limit default.
