Good morning everyone, I made a small error yesterday when I tried to push my 3600x overclock further. My setup includes an ASRock B450M, two x64 RipJaws 16GB 3200, one 1TB NVMe SSD, an RTX 2070, a Kraken X63 CPU and a Kraken G12 GPU. The GPU uses an EVGA CLC120. I attempted to reset the CMOS via the motherboard jumper, but it keeps cycling on and off. I also left the battery out for six hours without success. At first, the overclock worked but crashed during Cinebench midway through. The target was 4500MHz at 1.4V allcore, and 4.475MHz at 1,375V stable with Prime95, but I was hoping for a solid 4500MHz. Appreciate any advice!
3600x is almost at its maximum capacity, leaving little room for overclocking. I recommend keeping it at 4.4ghz for ongoing use.
Remove the RAM stick and then reset the CMOS again. If that fails, use the other stick.
It doesn't really make sense to push Ryzen CPUs beyond their limits. I'm confused about why so many attempt this. Try resetting the CMOS, take the battery out fully, and wait at least ten minutes before reinserting it. Contrary to popular belief, ten minutes is roughly the time needed to fully discharge the power.
I performed that action twice and then stopped it for roughly six hours, but it didn't make a difference. Switching from 4.04 allcore to 4.4 allcore now feels logical and enjoyable, so I attempted it but didn't succeed.
Usually yes, for testing the configuration, but it functioned with the master so I updated it in the BIOS.
You seem to be asking if the installation is still active. It's likely you have it set up, but since you're unable to start, a fresh Windows installation from a USB drive might be necessary. Otherwise, it appears you're stuck without a functional computer.
