No, it's not possible, and even then it would be a bad choice.

If the system has an Intel i5K or i7K, it might be able to run faster if the motherboard allows it. MacBook Pros are built with Core i5-U, i7-U, i5-M and i7-M processors, but overclocking isn't supported at all levels.

Purchase a desktop computer. Your MacBook Pro wasn't designed for gaming. Appreciate its current form rather than forcing it into a role it can't play.

It's Apple, you really can't upgrade it. Optimizing settings is key—lower the performance settings to make things run smoother. If possible, use an optimizer tool. I'm not sure how Apple handles this, but with a GPU from nVIDIA or AMD, you can install their software (like GeForce Experience or Gaming Evolved) and fine-tune your games there. Also, while playing, shut down any other programs that drain CPU and GPU power, like recording apps.

It's already limiting performance at stock speeds. Avoid that. If you truly needed more power, you could try overclocking the dedicated GPU in Windows with Afterburner, but it won't help much—your system will still overheat and slow down eventually. The only Intel Macs where CPU overclocking was possible were the early Mac Pros; OSX also supports that.
