Hello! I've been using an i7-6700k with an Asus z-170a motherboard for about two years. I haven't ever done overclocking, so I'm curious if pushing it to 4.5 would be stressful. Would it really improve game performance enough to justify the effort? And regarding BIOS settings—can I safely increase voltage and clock speed up to 4.5 without risk? Also, is it safe to keep the voltage at "automatic" only for this overclock attempt? Thanks in advance!

Do you own a reliable cooler? Auto adjustments and overclocks rarely work well together; do the manual overclock in BIOS instead. Avoid using built-in tuning apps since they often cause excessive voltage on the CPU. 4.5 can be easily reached on that chip with a high-quality CPU cooler. Patience and time are essential—getting it stable requires effort and perseverance. Read this advice! It's an excellent resource! https://forums.
