Overclocking GTX 770 with EVGA Supernova G1 650 PSU
Hey everyone,
I think I might have purchased a slightly lower quality power supply when I built my PC about two years ago. I chose an EVGA Supernova G1 650 watt gold certified PSU. Now I'm planning to overclock my GTX 770 to boost its performance, and I just want to confirm whether it's safe to do so with the power supply I have. Thanks!
It should be fine, you have 75 more watts available than what's suggested for a 770. Fwiw, I'm using one with a 520 watt PSU, not overclocked.
I would do it. The G1's aren't the top power supplies, but if you don't have an overclocked AMD 9590 CPU using a lot of power, it should work fine with an overclocked 770.
