So the GTX 1070 Armor OC base runs at 1500mhz and has a boost of 1700mhz. I’ve been wanting better performance lately, especially in H1Z1: King of the Kill, since I wasn’t achieving the desired FPS. Even though the game is quite CPU-heavy, I decided to try overclocking.

I’m currently using MSI Afterburner:
Power: 108% (maximum)
Mextemp: 93°C
Core Clock: +175
Memory Clock: +350
In-game I’m seeing around 2011mhz core clock and 4300 memory clock. I’ve set my core voltage to 100% and it’s maintaining about 0.98. Temperatures are climbing to around 60°C, but staying within safe limits.
Question: Is this overclocking acceptable? Are there any adjustments I should make or factors I should be aware of? Could I be putting unnecessary strain on my system?

Note: This is my first attempt at overclocking and I have no prior experience beyond following some guides and YouTube tutorials. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you for your time.

if utilization stays between 50-60%, it doesn't make sense, but as with any OC process, take small steps, run a +50 test, then another +50 test until it stops working.

Nope that's all fine, and your temps are still low so you could even push it a little more. When it starts to crash wind it back a little until stable. Anything up to 75 degrees is fine.
CPU intensive games use your CPU not your GPU though, as the phrase suggests What's maxing out more in monitoring stats, CPU or GPU?

I only use h1z1 and have only monitored this OC on H1Z1. The CPU and GPU usage remains around 50-60% during gameplay. I noticed it starts crashing once the core clock exceeds +175, so I set mine at that value. I'm unsure about the best memory clock setting and would appreciate any advice.
