Overclocking GTX 1060
Overclocking GTX 1060
I'm making a new Gaming PC this is my build:
Aerocool V2X Red Edition Midi-Tower - Black / Red
MSI Z170A PC Mate Intel Z170 (Socket 1151) DDR4 ATX Motherboard
Intel Core i5-6600K 3.9GHz (Skylake) Socket LGA1151 Processor - OEM
Alpenföhn Brocken ECO CPU Cooler - 120 mm
Zotac GeForce GTX 1060 Mini 6144MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
Seagate 1TB 7200RPM SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache HDD - OEM (ST1000DM003)
EVGA Supernova GS 550W '80 Plus Gold' Modular Power Supply
Microsoft Windows 10 64-Bit DVD - OEM (MS-KW9-00139)
I'm new to PCs and was wondering if this build could be overclocked in the future when it may be needed, also I don't know much about overclocking, is it done easily through software on the Internet? Or do I have to adjust the hardware?
Any help would be appreciated and if you could comment on how you think my build looks I would be grateful
(Also, is the 6600k version better than 6600 by a small amount anyway? Without overclocking?)
GTX 1060 compatible cards will offer restricted overclocking, yet still more than the 480. The mini-graphics cards might also face limitations due to their smaller cooling systems. Almost nothing else is required except MSI Afterburner, which can be downloaded from the provided link. Guru3d is an official MSI partner and their support forums are available on the Guru3D website.

Over time, more models might be reviewed, but currently I recall this information:
Don't have any information about the cooler.
Tested with RoG Real Bench and HWiNFO recording voltages and temperatures... if you can maintain mid-high 70s temps, I'd appreciate it.

This is my preferred option so far.
