Hi
I've chosen to overclock my GPU in the laptop because there are no overheating concerns. However, I'm unsure if this is suitable for the GTX 1050 (you can check the results in MSI Afterburner). It's stable with a max temperature of 73°C, but I feel like I might have missed something important this time.

Spec:
i7 7700HQ @ 3.4 GHZ
16 GB RAM @ 2400 MHZ
GTX 1050 2GB
Samsung 960 EVO 256 GB
Laptop: Acer Aspire 7 A715-71G

You mentioned that it's likely just the silicon lottery.
