Overclocking FX6300 doesn't improve performance.
The FX6300 is well-known for its ease of overclocking, yet I haven't experienced any BSODs. Despite pushing it to higher speeds, my performance remains unchanged. After cleaning the cooler, temperatures stay below 65 degrees Celsius. My system includes a Windows 7 64 Home Premium OS, an LG LED monitor, a GTX 750 graphics card with 1GB RAM, and a mix of hard drives and an SSD. The motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-LMT78-S2, and the power supply is 500 Watts.
Hi Rafael,
When you say it makes no difference, it’s hard to understand how you’re measuring things. You should confirm that your CPU is the real bottleneck; otherwise, minor CPU changes won’t matter much. I think adding more RAM would help and you might want to check your video card too—then you could consider upgrading your setup.
Cheers
