Hi everyone,
I’m just starting to explore the overclocking world. I bought a CPU that supports overclocking and thought it would be simple, so I adjusted the BIOS settings from 3,50 ghz to 3,90 ghz (which seems to be the maximum). After saving and rebooting, the changes didn’t apply. Now my CPU still shows 3,50 ghz instead of the expected 3,90 ghz. I’ve confirmed this with different tools.
My system details are: Intel i5 6600K, Gigabyte GA-H170N-WIFI motherboard, Gigabyte GEFORCE GTX 750 Ti, HyperX Fury DDR4-2133 RAM, Noctua NH-L9i cooling, and Corsair SF450 power supply (450W).
Could anyone help me get the system to recognize the overclock?

Overclocking on an Intel system requires a K-series processor and a Z-series card. Your H170 board can't handle this, so you'll need a Z170 or Z270 motherboard.

It seems you're facing an issue with overclocking on your Intel platform. You'll require both a K-series chip and a Z-series chipset. Your H170 motherboard isn't suitable; you should use a Z170 or Z270 board for this purpose. Thanks for the clarification!
