Hello everyone, I hope this message finds you well. I’m reaching out for advice regarding an issue I’m facing with my CPU overclock on an Intel i9 7900X. I followed the Linus Overclocking guide (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GeITi8DrlTI), but when testing with Prime95 and Cinebench, I only achieved a clock speed of 4.09GHz, which isn’t very impressive. I’m unsure what might be limiting my performance or if there’s something specific I should adjust. Any suggestions or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

A nearly 11-minute clip explaining the topic you were interested in. I reviewed roughly 15 seconds of it. It appears to be a sponsored guide from a manufacturer that provided the chips for the overclock, achieving around 4.5GHz—about 0.4GHz below the claimed speed. A seasoned overclocker with extensive experience and pre-selected parts managed higher results than this. For a standard consumer chip like a 4770K, reaching more than 4.0GHz consistently is uncommon, though not impossible. Overclocking doesn’t guarantee performance beyond the base clock; outcomes are unpredictable.

Considering this, I understand your point. I think I’ll have to let it go from my CPU, thanks for your support.
Regards.
