I'm reaching out to find out if it's a good idea to boost the Core 2 Duo E7500 up to around 3GHz. Right now, without overclocking, it runs at 2.13GHz, and Task Manager shows 1.5GHz when I start up. I'm planning to do this before getting a new motherboard and CPU for my birthday (21.4).
Here are the details:
- Gigabyte GA-EP43-DS3LR
- 8GB DDR2 RAM
- Windows 8 Build 6200
- Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 at 2.93GHz
- Gigabyte AMD R7 250 with 2GB DDR3 OC Edition
I also noticed the CPU handles Black Ops II well on medium 720p at 60FPS (50FPS is the lowest).
Looking for the most affordable motherboard and CPU that won’t cause bottlenecks with my Gigabyte AMD R7 250 2GB DDR3 OC Edition. It should be great for games like World of Warcraft and Call of Duty Advanced Warfare.
