Overclocking ASRock H270M Pro4 with an Intel i5 6600K?
Overclocking ASRock H270M Pro4 with an Intel i5 6600K?
Hi, just checking if it's feasible to overclock an i5 6600k using the ASRock H270M pro4 board. I searched online but didn't find any clear guidance. Thanks in advance.
The Gigabyte B360M HD3 is compatible only with eight and ninth generation Intel processors. The Gigabyte B250M-DS3H supports the I5-6600K but does not allow overclocking. For overclocking, there are two main paths for the I5 6600K: Z170 or Z270 motherboards. Motherboards from Z370 and Z390 will not function with the sixth generation processors such as the I5-9900K.
The H series motherboards are designed for processors with locked configurations.

If you prefer the Asrock line, this model is available at a discount. It's compatible with the I5-6600K and can boost CPU performance.
