Hello everyone,
I recently purchased a new rig with a budget build but still high performance in mind.
Here’s what I have: Asrock z97 anniversary, g3258, gtx 950 MSI OCV2 (no 6 pin connector), skill trident X 2400, 10CL, 2x4GB RAM, seasonic 620W s12IIM.
My concern is whether my graphics card impacts the OC of CP, especially since it runs on MOBO instead of a PSU. I’ve been getting inconsistent results—sometimes only 4,[email protected] stable, otherwise dropping to 200Mhz from 4Ghz, no EIST and Throttling not enabled. The cooler works fine, but performance is unpredictable.
Is it possible that the chip itself is problematic?
Thanks for any advice.

I think the issue is voltage drop after hitting the 75W threshold. The GTX 950 needs to stay near its 75W maximum even when running at its standard clock speed, doesn't it?
If this matches your model:
https://us.msi.com/Graphics-card/GTX-950...cification
MSI confirms it consumes 75W when installed.
