Hello everyone. I'm working on bringing back the old setup for my younger brother and aiming to push it to 3.6 or higher. Here are the details:

Mobo: Gigabyte EP45-UD3R
Proci: Intel Core2Quad q9400 Yorkfield
Ram1: Team Xtream dark ddrii 4gb(2x2) 800Mhz, 4-4-4-12, (2.0-2.1v)
Ram2: Corsair XMS2 DHX Dual Path 4gb(2x2) 800MHz, 5-5-5-15, 1.8v
Video card: Gainward Gtx 460 SE
PowerSupply: Seasonic 460watts Xseries fanless 80+ gold
EDIT: I forgot to mention I have an aftermarket air cooler

Procie specs:

the base cclock for the cpu is typically measured in hertz (hz) and represents the clock speed at which the processor operates.

based on my experience with an older machine, particularly with your specifications, I don't think it's necessary to overclock it without a watercooler. There isn't enough power either.

What is the base cclock for the CPU? Are you checking if this is the right question? Would a used CPU air cooler suffice?
