I'm trying to boost my AMD FX 8350 to 4.4 MHz at 1.38 V, but it only reaches about 60 degrees during games. I'm thinking about going up to 4.6 MHz. I've heard that the chip becomes quite unstable when things get too hot.

i had a terrible time past 4.4. my oc was good, but i had constant heat issues and throttling. constant spikes in fps when gaming too. the chip temps were acceptable but my mobo felt like it was on fire. had Asrock 990fx killer. i say keep the clock lower. .2 is not enough of a difference for a 4.6% increase which won't translate to games.

62C is the suggested maximum, so I'll keep it as is. What are the specifications?

AMD FX 8350, Crosshair V Formula Z, GTX 1060 with 6GB RAM, Hyper 212 Evo, 16GB RAM. g.skill 1866.
I'm just trying to get the most performance from my PC for gaming. With this setup, I wouldn't go any further.
Understood, thanks.
