I’m checking how much performance boost is possible on your setup. With a Ryzen 3800X and ASRock Steel Legend X570, you can likely achieve a stable 3600MHz CL16 overclock. The Ryzen 3800X supports higher base frequencies, so reaching 3600MHz is achievable. The ASRock board should handle it without major issues, though stability depends on cooling and BIOS settings. No need to worry about the graphics card or RAM right now.
Some kits come ready to use for cl16 at 3600. This one works best when it hits cl16, though you could try it even if it doesn’t. I’m not sure if it will actually function or not. In theory, with the right voltage and a boosted SOC voltage, it should work, but I can’t promise it.
The 3600mhz CL16 is quite costly, and given today’s market conditions, prices seem quite steep. The impact of upgrading to a CL16 RAM versus a CL18 would depend on your specific needs—CL16 offers better performance but at a higher cost. Running a CL18 alongside a 3600mhz CL16 could still provide strong speed, though you’d need to weigh the benefits against the price difference.
