I've been thinking/working on boosting my 4790k to 4.4-4.5ghz for games like Battlefield 1. I'm curious about whether this would noticeably affect FPS. I currently get around 115-120 fps, and I'd like to push it over 120fps steadily so I can take full advantage of my 144hz monitor running at 120hz. Please check if anything in what I said is incorrect—I'm not an expert.

Sorry, I can't view your build. It's difficult to judge without proper benchmarks for similar processors at various clock speeds in BF1. I'd guess around a 10 FPS improvement on average.

BF1 uses quite a bit of CPU power, especially when compared to many other games. Keeping it above 100 FPS might make the issue worse. I believe upgrading your CPU settings will help achieve around 144 FPS.

I haven't spent much time tweaking the OC yet, but I'm planning to try tonight. Would your build in your bio be enough to hit 144fps with a proper OC?
