I own a 990fxa-ud3 r5 rev 1 motherboard and am attempting to overclock it, but changing the core clock ratio manually isn't working.

I've seen videos showing someone using this mobo and they were able to do it. That's what I'm trying to say. Either you're missing something or the board might have an issue. I used to own a couple 990FXA-UD3s, a rev1 and a rev4, but not the newer R5. Maybe I'm forgetting something because it's been a while. But look through the BIOS for any auto settings that keep the multi from being set, and change it to manual. You might also want to check for a later BIOS version. It's not that the old one won't work, but updating it sometimes fixes problems.

When you click on the AUTO button for BCLK Clock Control in BIOS, you receive options to configure the clock control settings.

There are no alternative choices available, as the auto feature doesn't open a menu for adjustments. Did you remove CPU Clock Ration from AUTO settings?

You might need to exclude CPU Ratio from the auto setting in Advanced CPU Core Features as well.

Yes, there is a method to achieve this without relying on the BIOS.
