Overclocking 9900k on Z390 DESIGNARE (rev. 1.0)
I'm facing a major issue... like posting on 5GHz is possible, but after a day I encounter a blue screen. Usually this occurs when using PUBG or opening tabs in Opera GX. In Opera GX I see a "page crash, restore" and then a BLUESCREEN shortly after. I suspect something in my settings is causing the crash. My system specs are Windows 10 Latest Build, RAID 0, Samsung SSD 970 2tb EVO (4TB), RTX 3080 9900k @5GHz, CPU-Z H150i RGB PRO XT Corsair Dominator Platinum 64GB, DDR4 3200MHz C16, 1.35v XMP, Phanteks PH-P1200PS, 1200W power splitter, Z390 DESIGNARE, Alienware monitor, and ASUS ROG SWIFT PG348Q. I also have NVIDIA G-Sync at 100Hz.
For load stability, raise the voltage slightly more. If you're facing vdroop issues, switch to a different LLC and avoid random crashes during idle. Adjust your CPU power management from 5% to around 45%, which should increase idle voltage to about 0.9V instead of the 0.6V you sometimes see on minimum settings. Your idle CPU power consumption will rise from 4W to roughly 8–10W.
