I'm new to overclocking components and have only read various guides. I need detailed information about every setting in the ASUS bio. I want to know precisely which power-saving features to disable. Most of my adjustments are under CPU power management, but I’m unsure what else to turn off.
For overclocking, I usually choose "Auto" or "XMP," though I believe there should be a manual option. I set it to XMP and changed the voltage to "Offset." Since the manual doesn’t let me adjust the value, I used the offset setting and increased the voltage from 1.15v to 1.265v by adding + and .115v.
I tried setting the cores to "Sync All" and entered 48; the BIOS reset it back to 45, preventing higher frequencies. Not sure why this happens.
When OC is enabled by default, my CPU started at 4.4GHz. With XMP and frequency set to 45, it dropped to 4.2GHz. I’m not sure if that’s the issue.
Anyone have experience overclocking a 7700k on a B250m-a? I’d appreciate seeing your full settings and any advice!
My aim is to reach 5.0GHz while keeping temperatures under 70°C.

Apologies, you'll require a Z270 board for that.
