Trying to overclock my processor to about 4.2 or 4.4. I have it set overclocked at 4.0 right now but I know I can push it a lot further. I've read around and it seems liker 1.1-1.220-1.235 is kind of the sweet spot. But my computer won't even boot at that low. I have an Asrock motherboard and it keeps telling me for overclocking over 4.0 you must set voltage to 1.85 or more. I knew it didn't sound right so i did it and it booted up, but failed seconds into a prime95 test. I also tried 1.3 and it still doesn't seem to work for me either. I've owned it for about a year and a half now but my friend had it before me and he went to a 5960x so he sold it to me, but he was showing me when he had it that it was running at 4.6 just fine. So I know the chip must be good.

Which ASRock motherboard is suitable? Not every board is designed for overclocking, as some may not have adequate power regulation circuits. What is the optimal choice?
