Your laptop is performing poorly when you run Battlefield 3, lagging at around 20 fps. You're also downloading Battlefield 4 and Titanfall, which are demanding games. Right now you're considering overclocking your HP Envy DV6 notebook to improve performance. You mentioned you plan to build a gaming rig later this summer but are focusing on boosting your current machine now.

Consider reducing the rendering quality to something like 800x600. It may not appear great, but it can improve performance.

Consider removing unnecessary background apps and clearing registries; it’s unlikely to significantly improve gaming performance.

Not really, I’m just waiting until my rig is ready. It’s basic stuff, such as YouTube. I’m having buffering issues every five seconds, and I think it might be because games are being downloaded in the background.

No, you can't speed up laptops that way. Most laptops have built-in processors that can't be boosted further. Trying to overclock them leads to high heat and automatic shutdowns.

98% of all laptops are not suitable for overclocking due to their compact design and limited cooling capabilities. Overclocking is mainly possible in premium gaming machines.

BF3 is already struggling with very low frames, making it hard to play well in BF4. My performance dropped from over 70 FPS in BF3 while streaming to around 50-75 on BF4. On the laptop, I have to lower the graphics settings—it's the least you can do.
