Overclocking 2133Mhz Corsair LPX DDR4 RAM
I just purchased a Ryzen and am a student with a limited budget. The RAM is very costly, so I went for cheaper options. I'm trying to overclock it for better performance but haven't seen any results. I'm experienced with CPU and GPU overclocking, but not much with RAM. In my previous build, I increased the DDR3 speed from 1333MHz to 1600MHz without adjusting the voltage, and left it that way. This time I'm not as lucky. Even at 1.45 volts, the RAM won't reach 2400MHz. I think the timing will be affected, so I'm considering increasing the clock speed. Anyone know what timings to try or aim for? I'm not very experienced with DDR4 overclocking.
DDR4 must not be exposed to voltages exceeding 1.35v, period! If you need to adjust the BIOS settings, ensure the maximum is set to 1.35v. Before we discuss further, it's important to have your complete system specifications and operating system details ready. List them clearly: CPU, Motherboard, RAM, SSD/HDD, GPU, PSU, Chassis, OS. You likely understand that overclocking increases heat within the chassis, so proper airflow is essential.
